I have been asked to work with many young people who have issues with problem anger. I use the word problem as the young people I mentioned have anger that has, and is having a big impact on their daily lives, causing problems for families, friends, and in their school.

Anger is not an illness that can be cured and can be more damaging if left unchecked to the person with the anger than those around them. It is the most common problem that people seek help for and the number of different therapies and techniques on offer can be a bit overwhelming.

I have looked at many books and websites over the years to see which I feel that I can use with the young people referred to me from my school. It is important to realise that all people who present with anger problems are individuals with their own life stories, so I have had to adapt the way I work with them accordingly.
